Shannon went to Tilly last night to see that she was ok when she was in using the toilet and this is what he found –
Cheeky little thing. Whenever she sees the pics now she says ‘naughty’, ‘toilet’. Ratbag!
little squishy lips?!!!!
Zoe asleep on the couch. So CUTE!!!!!
Well we are all settling in well at home. It has been SO lovely having Shannon around and I will miss him terribly when he goes back to school after next week. Zoe is now almost 3 weeks old. We had her 2 week check up on Tuesday and she is growing so well. She is such a dream. She feeds about 4-6hourly usually! Matilda fed 3 hrly usually so it’s all a bit new to have a baby that has her feeds so spaced out. (I wont complain though as it means Mummy is getting good sleep 🙂 as she usually only wakes once over night!).
Zoe’s stats at 2weeks, 1 day old-
Weight:4.41kg (4.11 at birth)
length: 54cm (51.5 at birth)
HC: 36.6cm (35cm at birth)
So even though her feeds are spaced out she must be getting what she needs. The MHN said they like babies to be back to their birth weight by the 2 week check up and she was over so that’s great!
Matilda is getting used to having Zoe around a bit more now. I think it was a little hard for her for the 1st week as Shannon and I had both had surgery and couldn’t lift or carry her around and she would often want cuddles when I was feeding Zoe. She seems not as worried now and Shannon and I are both recovering well so that helps. Matilda likes to give Zoe kisses and cuddles now and gives her little pats when she is crying to try to settle her which is really cute.
Here are a few other pics from the last couple of weeks –

A couple of pics Shannon took here at home of Zoe in her knitted cocoon that I made her –
It was so lovely to have my sisters Vicki, Tammie (and Beau) and Peta (and Cooper) come stay with us to help out when I arrived home from hospital. This is Tammie’s youngest boy Beau and he is ADORABLE!!
We have had lots of lovely visitors, gifts and well wishes. Thank you so much to everyone! We are really looking to having Aunty Phoebe and Granny Sarah visit next weekend. Looking forward to getting some cute piccies with them too.
Our new little princess arrived on Monday the 7th September at 7:45pm weighing 9pd 1oz. She was 51.5cm long with a HC of 34 cm. After 19hrs and 45mins in labour, little Miss Z entered the world via c-section. She was posterior with a deflexed head and got stuck. We are all home now and doing really well. Zoe has put on 235g since coming home 2 days ago and is thriving. Here are a couple of pics of our latest addition –

Little Miss Z-
Today is Fathers Day so we went to Macca’s this morning for Breakfast. It was lovely weather and we enjoyed the morning outside. Here are a couple of piccies of Shannon and Matilda.
Chipping golf balls to Rusty in the front yard –
Shannon is such an awesome Daddy. He is always teaching Tilly new things and is so patient with her. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Father as a a hubby. He rarely complains when I ask him to help out with her and enjoys taking her for rides or to the pool or just out for a play in the yard. He loves her cuddles and sloppy kisses (an boy are they sloppy… not that he can complain – she’s a drooler just like him lol). It’s obvious He has an awesome Dad as he has learnt well how to be one.
What a blessing Father’s are. I am so grateful for mine. It’s so awesome to have great Father’s here on Earth and an awesome Dad in Heaven. God is so good! Talk about blessed!
Still no baby news. I am 10 days ‘overdue’ today. Feeling ok, just tired. It can’t stay in there forever lol. My mobile phone has decided to play up so all those people who keep sending me texts asking if bubs has arrived are getting no messages in return. Just assume bub isn’t here unless I tell you otherwise 😉
Shannon spent the afternoon out at our rental property today. Our tenants moved out last week and we have new tenants moving in this week so he has headed out to get a few things fixed up.
Not much else to report really.
I’ll leave you with a pic of Tilly being a cheeky monkey jumping on her bed 🙂
Last week Fred Zinggl, a professional photographer in our area, asked if he could take some pregnancy photos for his portfolio. They turned out beautiful. Here is the link for those interested in having a look.
He is keen to take some pics of bubby once it gets here, so stay tuned for those too.
