Well this past weekend has been a whirlwind of photos, kisses and not much sleep for Matilda. Shannon’s family came to visit for the weekend which was a lovely treat. It was so nice to see everyone fall in love with our precious little girl. Here are some pics we took over the weekend. (I think we got one of everyone in the end).

Finally had some time to do some scrapping this week. Just got two Lo’s done. The Tiny baby Fingers LO was done for the Challenge on Dannii’s blog (sorry, I do need to learn how to add links). It’s so nice to have lots of pics of my precious little girl to scrap now…welcome to the world of PINK!
Shannon’s family arrive tomorrow for a visit. Looking forward to seeing Gran, Grandad and Aunty Pheebs, Uncle Josh, Uncle Olly & Uncle Nathy Wathy.
Matilda is grandchild no# 1 on Shannon’s side and about no# 16 on my side (depends which parent you refer to).
Tilly & I went to Mothers group yesterday for the first time and it was great to meet asbout 10 other mums who all live in the same area as me and who all have bubs around the same age. Mothers group meets on Wednesdays for the next 6 weeks.
Anyhow, Tilly is stirring so I need to go feed her. J xox
Yesterday Dannii & I went to Warburton to a partylite candle party. While we were out Shannon decided to take our new camera for a walk around town to see if he could find some inspiration for some shots. I’m so proud of Shannon and the awesome pics that he has been taking lately that I thought I should post some to share with the world. Let me know what you think.
Park Bench –
Shannon found a drain & took these of himself (very clever 🙂 )
Some interesting shots.
Your photos are getting better and better Shannon. Great job – so proud of my adorable hubby… 🙂
Love J xox
Thought I’d post a couple of pics of a few 1st’s for Matilda.
1st drive in the car…
1st cuddle from her cousin Tess (sorry i can’t put pics from her cuddles with everyone as my time and space is limited 🙂 )…
Tilly has had lots of 1st’s this fortnight. 1st visitors, 1st day at church, 1st day at school, 1st presents, flowers, shopping trip etc.
I just want to take a moment to say a big Thank you to all of the people who have given us so many lovely gifts. Matilda has been spoilt! Thank you so much!!!!
Anyhow, where was I?… oh yes…well Matilda has had a pretty good week. We are slowly getting a routine sorted out although we are still learning about sleep time and not cry time 🙂 but we’ll get there. Matilda seems to get over tired very easily and then finds it hard to go to sleep but I’m hoping routine will sort itself out soon enough.
Enjoy the pics…oh why not, here’s another two just because she looks so adorable in them.
Enjoy…much love, J xox
Boy, another birthday this week. Craigy Baby turned 21 yesterday.
Here’s a pic of my little bro (with Sarah of course) –
Happy Birthday Mate!
Love ya lots xx
I’ve been so busy with bub that I didn’t get a chance to say online Happy Birthday to our beautiful God daughters Ashca & Gemma. Happy Birthday for Tuesday girls. You are both growing so quickly and into such beautiful individuals. We are so proud of you both already.
Ashca- You have such a lively, bubbly personality that we just love.
Gemma- Your sensitive nature is precious and we adore you.
Here is a pic taken 12 months ago when the twins were born.
Gemma & Ashca-
Boy have you grown since then!
We love you both, Jodi, Shannon & Matilda xox
As many of you know, we are now proud parents of our daughter, Matilda Lillian Batten. Born at 1:29am on July 31 by c section after around 25 hours of labor. She weighed 8lb15.8oz (so pretty much 9lb) and was 51cm long.
I won’t bore you with all the details of the labor but to say that Jodi did an AWESOME job! Man, once a guy shares that with his wife you get to see just how amazing they really are!!! (Thanks Dannii for being there and helping us get through it. You’re fantastic!)
Anyway, here’s some pics:
Dad, ready for the action!
Straight from the Womb!
Matilda with an exhausted Mum
Tiny, precious hands.
Thanks Phil & Shelisa. The Hug-a-Bub works a treat! She falls asleep within a minute of being put in it!
Fed & Content.
They’re in hospital until Saturday. They’re both doing really well. Matilda has started to feed without the help of the midwives but still having a little trouble latching on.
I’ll post more pics on the weekend.
